Nice little spot off the side of the road after a day at the wineries. There was a little bit of a wait to sit outside but the outdoors were calling us so we opted to wait.
Once seated the waitress was right there to take our drink order. Taking in the view from the deck we still needed a few more minutes to decide. It took a few minutes for the drinks to arrive so I made a note when half way done with this, order another drink.
My wife ordered the BLT and I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich. Both were very good as well as the drinks (provided you time them correctly)
We definitely enjoyed our lunch and will be certain to hit this place again when back in town. -

We were visiting TC and got a recommendation from a local that this is where we should eat.
They don't take reservations but you can call 20 minutes ahead and put your name in the list. It worked flawlessly.
I give the ambience a 5/5. It had a great interior and was pleasing on the eyes.
I give the wait staff 4/5. Our server was nice and mostly attentive but dilly-dallied getting us the bill.
The view of the lake was a 3/5. Only about 1/3 of the view was of the bay and most of it was taken up by a marina.
Sadly I can only give the food a 3/5. I had a half rack of ribs with coleslaw and baked beans. The coleslaw was tasteless, the beans had way too much crunchy onions, and though the ribs were tender, they were average at best when it came to taste.
My wife had a bowl of soup which was actually pretty good but her half sandwich (grilled cheese) left much to be desired.
Ultimately we were disappointed. We were so looking forward to having a dynamite dinner but in the end we left unfulfilled. -

What the heck happened to your fish sandwich-?
it used to be good. Loaded with 4 pieces of fish topped with slaw. It was my go to menue item!
Have you made changes to your kitchen manager or staff? I actually received a sandwich with a tiny piece of fish and a pile of colelaw! Thought it was an oversight but appareantly not. I wont be ordering that again!
Apache trout grill fish sandwich is better-
more fish and its just down the street!
Come on guys.... Dont mess with a good thing! -

Stopped in for lunch with friends. We were seated right away and were immediately impressed with the view of the west bay. It was a overcast day but the view was still beautiful. Interior is a little worn with lots of large wooden tables. Fortunately for me there were only a couple of televisions so I would not consider this a sports bar. Lexie was our server and she was efficient and our orders were correct. Walleye fish sandwich, chicken corn chowder, caesar salad with grilled romaine lettuce, white pizzas, cherry cheesecake, and chocolate cake were all very good. I gotta give a shout out for the chowder. This is a great soup. Tender chicken, corn, poblanos peppers and a great broth. I was pretty impressed. Overall it was a pretty darn good experience. A go to place in my book.

Definitely can't go wrong with their French Onion soup. Service was lovely as well. Tavern burger had excellent meat and was good as far as a simple burger goes.
